Greeley Farmers’ Market Relocates to Downtown Hub, Expands Visitor and Vendor Experience

Downtown’s beloved farmers’ market is set to relocate from the Union Pacific Depot to 7th Street, on the north side of Lincoln Park, between 9th and 10th avenues, to enhance community engagement and broaden vendor offerings. This strategic move aims to create a vibrant hub for local produce, artisanal goods and communal gatherings. The City of Greeley, in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), is excited for the move, which will be marked by ribbon-cutting ceremony on the inaugural day of the summer market, Saturday, May 4, at 9 a.m.

“We are excited for this new chapter of the summer farmers’ market. The Greeley Farmers’ Market has had a rich history in downtown Greeley, and this move will create greater opportunity for visitors to enjoy a more robust downtown experience. Now visitors will be able to enjoy their market goods in the shade of park trees, have access to a playground for their children, find plenty of parking nearby and be within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It’s going to be a fantastic summer, and we can’t wait to see you there,” says Bianca Fisher, executive director of the DDA.

Greeley’s Farmers’ Market has been recognized as one of the Best Farmers Markets in Colorado for the past two seasons by the American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition. The relocation will enhance customer and vendor experience by providing better access to downtown amenities such as public art, shopping and dining. Lincoln Park has room for small group activities, a playground for children and a green space for an artisanal market of local and urban farmers.

“We see the relocation of our award-winning Greeley Farmers’ Market as a boost for our vendors, market patrons and broader community by expanding the market footprint for our local food producers and makers. The Greeley Farmers’ Market is a strong anchor for downtown, and we want to support its continued growth and prosperity for the health and social wellbeing of the Greeley community,” says Diana Frick, director of culture, parks and recreation for the City of Greeley.
