NOCO Humane Celebrates 55 Years of Service with Matched Donations on April 1

All donations made on April 1, 2024, will be doubled up to $10,000

On April 1, 1969, a group of caring citizens founded Northern Colorado’s first nonprofit animal shelter with the goal of providing a safe haven for lost and unwanted pets, now known as NOCO Humane. Fifty-five years later, NOCO Humane has had the privilege of caring for tens of thousands of lost, abandoned and homeless animals in Northern Colorado.

In honor of this achievement, you are invited to join in celebrating NOCO Humane’s inaugural “Day of Giving” on April 1, 2024. To ensure that NOCO Humane can support homeless and vulnerable animals for decades to come, please consider participating by sharing your adoption story or making a donation at nocohumane.org.

“It’s remarkable to think about how many pets and people’s lives have been impacted by NOCO Humane over the decades,” says Judy Calhoun, NOCO Humane CEO. “It’s an honor to continue this work, but also important to note that we’re only able to do so because our community has been so supportive and generous.”

Every donation helps provide vital resources and support for animals’ safety and wellbeing. What’s more, thanks to several generous supporters, every dollar donated on April 1, 2024, will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.
