One Sweet Summer event series returns to Loveland, CO, in May 2024.

The Loveland Downtown District Provides Free Summer Fun

The Loveland Downtown District is pleased to announce that its One Sweet Summer event series is returning to The Foundry Plaza for 2024, running from mid-May through the end of August. Kicking off May 18, there will be a variety of activities, classes and concerts that will bring fun and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. All events in the series are free and open to the public with free parking available throughout downtown and in The Foundry parking garage.

Along with family-friendly live music from talented regional bands, the Loveland Downtown District will host weekly fitness classes on Saturdays, kids’ days in the Foundry Plaza on Wednesdays, an ice cream festival, weekly Wednesday night concerts, a two-day bluegrass festival, as well as a classic car and live blues shows. The summer event series will also feature local artists, food vendors and downtown craft breweries.

The 2024 One Sweet Summer schedule includes:
  • Blues & Cruise Car Show – Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Bluegrass & Brews Festival – Friday, June 7, from 6-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 8, from 1-9:30 p.m. (see details below)
  • Ice Cream Festival – Friday, July 26, from 2-9 p.m.
  • Kids on the Plaza – Wednesdays, June 12 to August 7, from 12-2 p.m.
  • Fitness on the Plaza (Yoga) – Saturdays, June 15 to Aug. 31, from 8-9 a.m. and 9-10 a.m.
  • Wednesday Concerts – Wednesdays, July 10 to Aug. 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Symphony on the Plaza – Friday, Aug. 9, from 6-8 p.m.
Bluegrass & Brews Festival Weekend:

The Loveland Downtown District is pleased to announce that the One Sweet Summer: Bluegrass & Brews Festival is returning to The Foundry Plaza as a two-day event on
Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, 2024. This unique, two-day festival will feature live music from a variety of bluegrass acts, session beers from downtown craft breweries and more.

Friday night will be headlined by The Fretliners, who are Band Contest Winners at both the 50th Telluride Bluegrass Festival and 51st Rockygrass Festival. Saturday’s stacked lineup includes Denver-based Clay Street Unit (a returning favorite) and Pixie and the Partygrass Boys, and the headliner will be The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, an east Tennessee bluegrass unit who are ambassadors of their genre.

This event is free and open to the public with free parking available throughout downtown and in The Foundry parking garage. The Foundry features convenient parking, apartments and restaurants as well as a salon, hotel, dine-in movie theater and central plaza for community entertainment with easy access to an array of independently owned restaurants, breweries, bars and retail shops in the downtown core.

Back by popular demand, tasters will be served on Saturday. Festival goers can purchase a punch card for eight (4 oz) taster pours from the local breweries that will be attending. The annual Youth Fiddle Contest will take place on Saturday, June 8, including two age divisions: 12 and under and 13-18. There will be two winners for this event, who will each receive $250 in prize money.
