Fort Collins residents can learn about current and upcoming transportation projects in the city and get their questions answered by project managers and experts at the city’s Transportation Projects Fair. The open house-style fair is free to attend, open to the public and will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St.
More than 25 transportation-related projects will be featured, covering short-range and long-term efforts. City staff and representatives of partner organizations, including Colorado State University, Bike Fort Collins, the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Front Range Passenger Rail District will be available to talk with those who attend.
“This is a unique event for the City of Fort Collins,” says Lauren Nagle, active modes specialist with FC Moves. “This lets our community come and speak with someone in person, rather than via email or trying to find information through the internet. They can speak to many project managers at the same time about everything from biking to street repairs to the potential of a passenger rail along the Front Range. It’s really a unique opportunity.”
