Aims Community College to Offer Free Science and Technology Program for High Schoolers

Aims Community College

Aims Community College is excited to announce the return of its Aims B.E.S.T. (Aims Battle Of Energy, Science and Technology) program, providing high school students, ages 14-18 with a unique opportunity to explore the world of science, innovation and technology.

The four-day camp will be held from July 15-18, 2024, on the Aims Greeley Campus at the Applied Technology and Trades Center. The Aims B.E.S.T. program offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, allowing students to develop critical thinking skills while engaging in exciting challenges. Students are divided into teams and compete in missions that use programming, electronics and robot design, games and more. Winning team members will receive aardvark trophies and recognition for their accomplishments.

Aims keeps on building on the program’s success. “Everyone has a great time exploring our technology at Aims,” says Industrial Technology and Energy Studies instructor Dave Sordi, noting that he can’t wait to see what this year’s participants accomplish. “I’m passionate about young people interested in STEM and the potential career opportunities in industrial technology.”

Space is limited, and registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost for students to attend. For more information and to register, visit aims.co/BEST.
