Greeley Ice Haus and Mountain View Skating Club Skaters Win State Competition for Second Straight Year
The Greeley Ice Haus and Mountain View Skating Club (MVSC) skaters celebrated winning the 2023 Colorado Compete USA Series for the second straight year—the final competition hosted by the Centennial Skating Club in Monument on Sept. 10.

Each skater participated in the group’s overall and individual scoring for their skating levels. Eleven figure skaters from Greeley finished in the top three places of their individual skill levels and overall for the series.
“This accomplishment speaks volumes about the dedication and commitment of the Ice Haus and MVSC skaters and coaches,” says Carla Villavicencio, recreation supervisor with the City of Greeley.
The Greeley Ice Haus and MVSC’s combined points exceeded the top 10 skaters in every other club in the state by almost 100 points.
Rink Award Distinction
This month, the Ice Haus Learn to Skate program also received a plaque stating that in the skating year between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023, the program had over 400 members, making it one of the largest in Colorado.
“This is a giant achievement for our rink as a few years ago we only had 30 members for the whole year, being one of the smallest programs in the nation,” says Villavicencio.
