The Matthews House Annual Gala, Cultivate Hope 2023, took place at the elegant Hilton venue in Fort Collins on the evening of September 9th. The event was graced by the presence of nearly 400 guests, and it resulted in the remarkable achievement of raising $168,945. Cultivate Hope held profound significance this year, as it marked the momentous unveiling of our most ambitious collaborative endeavor to date—the establishment of a groundbreaking Northern Colorado Regional Youth Shelter. This visionary project stands as a testament to our collaboration with the Thompson School District, Poudre School District, and numerous other esteemed community organizations.
The Northern Colorado Regional Youth Shelter is not merely a physical refuge; it represents a beacon of hope and support for our youth and young adults, aged 15 to 20. This transformative initiative will offer them a secure sanctuary, along with essential provisions such as sustenance, clothing, and vital resources, designed to empower these promising young individuals on their path to self-sufficiency.
