The Greeley Dream Team celebrated their fifth year in a row of a 100-percent graduation rate at their Community of Champions … Turning Dreams into Reality breakfast. Along with this momentous achievement, they celebrated the success stories of three alumni, a community partner and an educator. This year’s honorees included educator Pete Lien of the University of Northern Colorado, community partner Farmers Bank and alumni Maria Bocanegra Tejeda, Pablo Lopez and Yessica Elena Rodriguez. Cedric Howard, vice president for student affairs at UNC, gave an inspiring keynote speech. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Greeley Dream Team, which serves students from limited-income families through group and one-on-one services that support student success in high school, college and beyond.
