Share the World with Others at Museum’s Global Adventurers
The Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures is excited to announce a new series entitled “Global Adventurers.” The monthly programs will appeal to those who love to travel, want to recount their travel experiences, delight in sharing stories of travel or dream of traveling one day.
The first program is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, and will celebrate Oktoberfest with samplings of traditional music, wine and food. If you have been to Oktoberfest, please plan to come and share. Participation in the monthly Global Adventurers program is open to museum members only.
The hosts for Global Adventurers will be Daniel and Alice Owen, who lived and worked abroad for 32 years and have visited 85 countries to date. Travel is a constant in their lives, and they are excited to share their enthusiasm with others. Members will have the opportunity to provide input for future programs.
Tickets are $10 per person, and registration is required at globalvillagemuseum.org. The monthly meetings are sponsored in part by Outdoor Travel Adventures.
The Global Village Museum is located at 200 W. Mountain Ave., and museum hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Museum membership rates are $45 for an individual, $65 for a family, $20 for students, $35 for an individual senior (62+) and $45 for a senior couple.
