On March 25, the Northern Colorado Herpetological Society hosted a benefit concert at the Lyric to raise funds for reptile and amphibian rescue efforts in Northern Colorado. The Creature Concert was a celebration to bring our community closer to nature and an opportunity to build awareness. Nearly 300 people who got to meet the NCHS’s ambassador animals up-close. Over $9,000 was raised by members of the community and local businesses. This concert featured three incredible local bands: The Catcalls, Cactus Cat and HYGEIA. Proceeds went toward rescuing/rehoming displaced exotic pets, providing donation-based herptile education to Northern Colorado schools and expanding the NCHS facility to better serve the NOCO community.
