The Youth Clinic Announces its Sixth Annual Growing Healthy Kids Scholarship is Open for Applications
The Youth Clinic is offering high school seniors the opportunity to apply for the Growing Healthy Kids Scholarship where, if chosen, they will receive $1,000 toward their higher education. To be considered for the Growing Healthy Kids Scholarship, all applications must be submitted by April 17, 2023.
“Studies show healthier students have better grades, better behavior, and better attendance,” said Larry Mortenson, Executive Director for The Youth Clinic. “At The Youth Clinic, our goal is to help keep northern Colorado families healthy through expert and specialized pediatric care and programming.”
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as a patient at The Youth Clinic, pursuing higher education after high school, and submit a one-page essay about a time they have had to overcome a challenge.
This is the sixth year that The Youth Clinic has offered the Growing Healthy Kids scholarship to help further their patients’ higher education. Previous years’ winners include Tyler Cox, Kylie Becker, Colton Thompson, and Makena Sanger.
“We are incredibly proud of all our patients and their aspirations in life,” said Mortenson. “It is always very difficult to select one recipient and if we could, we would select everyone for this special opportunity.”
All applications must be submitted by April 17, 2023, and the recipient will be notified directly by May 5th, 2023, and announced publicly shortly after. To learn more about the essay criteria and to get started, visit TheYouthClinic.com.
