Alianza NORCO is a grassroots nonprofit founded and led by Patricia Miller, a Salvadoran immigrant who graduated from CSU and had a 20-year career at HP before dedicating herself to community work full-time. The mission of Alianza NORCO’s multi-national team is to empower our immigrant community members and their families. Alianza NORCO offers immigration legal services, bilingual and bicultural navigation, and advocates to increase immigrant safety, social cohesion, and integration. Their December fundraiser included great auction items, music by the Manabí Latin Band and lots of dancing. The nonprofit spent the holidays welcoming sixty Venezuelan newcomers who had nowhere to go during the subzero temperatures. At Larimer County’s request during this emergency, the Alianza NORCO team organized a community-wide effort that touched and impacted the lives of community members and newcomers alike and demonstrated the true spirit of the holiday season.
