Sonic Spotlight showcased Northern Colorado’s young music scene with a competition put on by Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, 105.5 The Colorado Sound and Bohemian Foundation to support some of the region’s most talented emerging musicians aged 22 years or under. Eight artists were selected by a panel of music industry experts to record an original song. The eight songs debuted on 105.5 The Colorado Sound on November 3. The three artists selected to advance to the Spotlight Round held at Washington’s included rock band Hospital Socks, pop artist, Fiona Sofia and metal act HYGEIA. Last year’s semi-finalist, Forrest Nelson, and this year’s Listener’s Choice winner, Clementine, also performed. The night concluded with judges revealing Fiona Sofia as the winner of Sonic Spotlight 2022.
