More than 1,000 residents and dignitaries from all different areas of government attended the largest celebration of innovation to ever take place in Loveland. Thanks to co-founder David Packard’s love for his home state, Loveland welcomed Hewlett-Packard and its wealth of inventive technology 60 years ago. Noted speakers included Gov. Jared Polis and Gitanjali Rao, inventor and “Time Magazine” Kid of the Year. The ribbon-cutting for the grand re-opening of the campus also featured live music, awards for outstanding businesses, students and citizens, tours of the Forge Campus facility, a historical timeline of innovation in Loveland and a commemorative tree-planting ceremony.
