Celebrating a Decade of Deliciousness in Downtown

Fort Collins Foodie Walk Recognizes Tenth Anniversary on October 21, 2022

Fort Collins Foodie Walk and the ten participating downtown businesses will commemorate a milestone Tenth Anniversary on Friday, October 21.  Fort Collins Foodie Walk is a year-round, self-guided walking tour that activates on the third Friday of each month from 5-8 p.m., with unique and delicious sampling opportunities at each participating business.

Originally started in 2012, Foodie Walk was an idea first introduced by Sean Godbey, owner of Old Town Spice Shop, and George Grossman, owner of Happy Lucky’s Teahouse, as a way to recognize the culinary culture and thriving foodie scene in Downtown Fort Collins.  The promotion is a partnership and collaborative marketing effort amongst retail-based culinary shops downtown.  Each month, shops provide interactive showcases, seasonal flavors, exciting taste experiences, and an invitation for people to embrace their inner foodie.

During October’s Foodie Walk, each participating business will feature an extra special Tenth Anniversary recipe to mark the occasion.  The community is invited to experience the promotion at each participating location, enjoy tasty samples, as well as collect limited-edition Tenth Anniversary commemorative recipe cards from each business.  Visit early as quantities of samples and commemorative recipe cards are limited.

The following businesses are included in the Tenth Anniversary celebration: Blanchard Family Wines, CopperMuse Distillery, Downtown Ace Hardware Grilling Department, Happy Lucky’s Teahouse, Ku Cha House of Tea, Old Town Spice Shop, Rocky Mountain Olive Oil, Savory Spice, The Cooking Studio with Audacious Truffles, and The Cupboard.

“Through the years, businesses participating in Foodie Walk have changed with the local business climate, however, the mission and goal of creating a monthly unique foodie experience has remained the same,” said George Grossman, co-creator, Fort Collins Foodie Walk. “Looking beyond the Foodie Walk promotion, I have seen the growth of exciting restaurants, food trucks, distilleries, cideries, bakeries, and more expand the foodie culture in Fort Collins—creating a truly vibrant foodie scene.”
