Downtown Greeley crawled with scarily good costumes for this year’s Monster Day. Proceeds from the event go toward Don’t Be A Monster, a nonprofit that offers unique anti-bullying assemblies for students in 4th-10th grades. People of all ages enjoyed music, face-paintings, spooky photo ops and a costume contest. Distortions Unlimited introduced the crowd to Rex, the newest Monster Day Greeley mascot. In conjunction with the celebration, Weldwerks Brewing concocted the Greeley Gremlin: Rex’s Revenge Beer, and Aunt Helen’s Coffee House sold Monster Shakes to raise money for Weld County Food Bank.
