The annual Realities For Children Awards Gala kicked off National Child Abuse Prevention Month by honoring leaders in the community and victorious youth who have triumphed over childhood abuse. This event also featured the Keeping Dreams Alive Awards, which are designed to support and encourage children ages 6 to 14 who are struggling to keep their dreams alive while living in at-risk situations. At the gala, Realities granted the dreams of Zaniya, Jasper and Alanah, letting them know they are surrounded by a community who cares by empowering them to dream and live towards a better tomorrow. The gala, held at the Embassy Suites in Loveland, had around 600 attendees and raised over $100,000 for at-risk children in Northern Colorado.
