The Loveland Creative District, known as Loveland / Creates, welcomed over 100 guests to The Warehouse Business Accelerator at the Forge Campus in west Loveland for its official kickoff party. The event featured guest speakers Christy Costello, deputy director of Colorado Creative Industries, and Meredith Badler, deputy director for the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, along with the works of several Loveland artists, musical and dance acts, and a reading by Veronica Patterson, Loveland’s first poet laureate. The event also showcased restaurants and craft brewers from within the district’s boundaries. Loveland / Creates is one of 30 creative districts in Colorado, which serve to showcase artists, cultural venues and creative entrepreneurs to enhance local economic vitality and contribute to the development of healthy communities.
