Erie, CO – On Saturday, April 16, 2022, Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary will hold its first-ever 5K/10K race, titled the Ahimsa-thon. The event will take place on their beautiful Erie-based property. Runners will pass by the animal residents of Luvin Arms while taking in panoramic views of the Front Range.
Vegan Van, Green Bus Cafe, and Solstice Sweets will provide delicious plant-based food and drinks at the event. The Sanctuary will also hold a Spring treasure hunt and a cruelty-free crafting tent, in honor of Easter Weekend.
What is Ahimsa? A Sanskrit word, Ahimsa means respect for all living things and avoidance of violence toward others, a value behind every intention at Luvin Arms.
“Every being deserves to live their life with care and compassion,” says Shartrina White, Luvin Arms’ Executive Director. “Luvin Arms is demonstrating to the world that every being loves their life. Ahimsa transcends species. It is the most beautiful thing life has to offer. ”
