Fort Collins Medicinal Herb Farm Launches Medicine Farm School

Berchta Botanicals expands resilient farm programming to offer continuing education for adults.

Berchta Botanical’s flagship program in the agroecology of medicinal plant growing combines a mix of grounded theory, science,
academic instruction, and hands-on learning for adults. Students in this program apply
classroom instruction, homework, readings and demonstrations (to their own living
medicinal farmscape) with one-on-one coaching from head farmer and instructor Amy (with over
ten years of growing experience) and guest instructors skilled in nutrition, medicine-making,
botany and nervous system healing.

Students enrolled in Medicine Farm School walk this course over 8 months, once a month (8
weeks total, 40 contact hours and 40 plus hours of independent study) through our in-person
and virtual program of study steeped in practical, spiritual, and applied organic, medicinal herb
production. Classes take place during evening and weekend mornings to give working adults
the opportunity to join. Dive deep into the rhythms and respect of wild plant propagation. Learn
lifelong, soul satisfying skills. Grow plant medicine. To find out more about this program, see the
full class schedule, and learn about other Berchta workshops, visit berchtabotanicals.com.

Berchta Botanicals medicinal plant nursery, gardens, and farm school is located in Fort Collins,
Colorado. Head grower, Amy, has been managing diversified vegetable, flower, and herb farms
and teaching, using organic, sustainable methods, for ten years. Plant starts are available from
April through September and pre-ordering for plants opens on March 1, 2022.
