The town of Berthoud held its 2022 Snowfest, where both new and seasoned sculptors competed in the Snow Sculpting Championship. Over half a dozen teams, sponsored by local businesses, worked to transform hunks of snow into pieces of art. The teams started work on January 12 and had to put down the carving tools on the morning of January 15 for the voting to begin. First place winners of the professional division were Keith Martin, Rusty Willey and Garrett Shelton on team “Snice.” First place winners in the amateur division were Berllyn Kilde, Savanna Kilde and Andrew Clarkson on team “Kevin.”
