Getting ready to celebrate the holidays? We all know that 2020 was a hard year for musicians and music fans alike, but this year the High Plains Blues Society (HPBS) has come up with a solution everyone is sure to like — a Holiday Ball! On Sunday, December 12, the public is invited to come out to the Sundance Steakhouse and Saloon in Fort Collins to celebrate good times and good music together. The show begins at 6 p.m., but everyone is encouraged to come early and enjoy a festive dinner beforehand. Three musical acts will entertain guests, beginning with the Buzz Brothers Acoustic Band, followed by a Christmas/Holiday themed set performed by Mr. Smyth. Topping off the evening will be the High Plains Blues Players featuring members of regional and local blues bands. Check out High Plains Blues Society’s Facebook page to find out who will be making an appearance on stage that night.
There’s no cover charge for this great event, and there’ll be plenty of free parking. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes, as you’ll want to experience “the biggest dance floor in Northern Colorado.” For even more fun, one lucky winner will be awarded a prize for the Ugliest Christmas Sweater! Sunday night is Family Night at the Sundance, so kids are welcome until 9 p.m.
Whether you’re a member of the High Plains Blues Society or not, come and join the excitement as we prepare to ring in the 2021 Holiday Season. HPBS will have a table set up for those who wish to purchase a membership, which also includes a cool tee shirt sporting the group’s logo. By the way, HPBS memberships also make great Christmas gifts, so be sure to stop by and check it out!
If you know you’d like to attend, please RSVP to highplainsbluessociety@gmail.com by December 8. While HPBS would appreciate knowing approximately how many will show up for the event, you needn’t RSVP in order to come. Looking forward to seeing you there. It’ll be a ball!
