The Great Colorado Air Show, presented by Nutrien announced the lineup of civilian performers scheduled for October 16-17 at Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL) in Loveland, CO.
Produced by The Air Show Network in partnership with FNL, The Great Colorado Air Show marks the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ first appearance in Northern Colorado since 2002. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the Blue Angels will fly the new F-18 Super Hornet aircraft which is 25% larger than its predecessor Legacy Hornet which was retired in the fall of 2020.
Civilian performers include:
- Aerobatic champion Bob Freeman, hailing from Lyons, CO, flying his Extra 300
- Barry “Bdog” Hancock, from Utah, piloting the Yak-50 warbird
- The Rocky Mountain Renegades air show team
- Colorado’s own Tom Larkin darting overhead in his Sonex Mini Jet
- World Aerobatic Champion and Colorado resident Dagmar Kress piloting a Pitts S-2C
- Greg Colyer in his Ace Maker T-33 fighter jet
- U.S. National Aerobatic Champion Mike Wiskus flying his Lucas Oil Pitts S-1-11B
“Presenting the world-famous Blue Angels, along with the region’s top aviation talent, Mike Wiskus, Greg Colyer, and awe-inspiring military demos, The Great Colorado Air Show is sure to entertain and thrill aviation fans,” said Jim Breen, President & CEO of The Air Show Network.
Previously announced military performers include U.S. Air Force A-10 and F-35 demonstrations, and precision parachuting by the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue, advanced glider aerobatics from the Air Force Academy’s Aerobatic Demonstration Team.
The Air Show will also feature static ground displays, concessions, souvenir booths and exhibitors.
Tickets for day passes, premium seating, Flight Line Club and premium box seats are available online only at GreatColoradoAirShow.com. Tickets will not be sold onsite during show days. VIP Parking Passes can also be purchased in advance for convenient parking to the show gates.
