Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale to Benefit Respite Care | October 5-10, 2021
Winter sports enthusiasts should start collecting their gently used gear to sell during the annual Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale happening October 5-10. This popular event is not only an opportunity to sell winter gear, but the event serves as a fundraiser for Respite Care in Fort Collins.
“Each year the event has grown,” said the owner of Outpost Sunsport, Randy Morgan. “It’s just a nice community event where folks can bring in their used ski and snowboard equipment and apparel and have it sold to those looking specifically for these items.”
The Outpost Sunsport Swap Sale is executed in two stages. On October 5 through October 8, patrons can bring in gently used items such as skis, snowboards, boots, poles and winter apparel to Outpost Sunsport at 931 E. Harmony Rd. There is a $3 cost per item to participate in the Swap Sale. Items must be clean and in working order. All bindings must meet DIN standards. Items not accepted include straight skis, rear-entry boots, gloves, goggles or helmets.
On October 9 and 10, the community is invited to take advantage of the discounted items for sale. For items sold, donors will receive 100 percent of the selling price in-store credit or 50 percent of the sold price in payment.
All unsold items must be picked up by October 15, 2021, or they will be donated.
A percentage of the entry fees for contributed items will be donated to Respite Care, a non-profit organization that provides support and resources for children with developmental disabilities. Their programs provide community engagement opportunities and activities to foster growth and positive learning experiences. To learn more about Respite Care visit http://respitecareinc.org/.
Additionally, representatives from Copper Mountain and Snowy Range ski resorts will be selling season tickets and sharing their exciting plans for the season. An IKON PASS representative will be in attendance on Saturday, October 9 only.
