Breeze Thru Car Wash is proud to announce that it reached its goal of raising more than $19,000 for Larimer County Search and Rescue (LCSAR) on August 28 during its 12th annual one-day fundraiser for the organization.
Through a combination of monetary donations and the donation of all retail dollars during the day at its five Larimer County locations, Breeze Thru Car Wash raised $19,572 for LCSAR, exceeding the company’s 12-year goal of $100,000 by $904. The money raised in this year’s fundraiser will cover the costs of a boat used to deploy specially-trained dogs on water searches, improve its urban search capabilities, and continue to outfit crews with the search and rescue tools needed to safely bring people home.
“Reaching $100,000 is a huge milestone for us at Breeze Thru Car Wash, and we know that we couldn’t have done it without the support of the Northern Colorado community,” said Wade Keith, Brand Manager at Breeze Thru. “We believe that for a community to thrive, it requires effort from all of its members, and we’re grateful for each person who has supported us and Larimer County Search and Rescue over the years.”
In support of its vision to provide an excellently run car wash company that prepares people for the future and provides for the community, Breeze Thru facilitates multiple charitable initiatives each year including the LCSAR fundraiser which launched in 2010.
“The annual Breeze Thru Car Wash fundraiser demonstrates their commitment to giving back to the community. Through their generosity, they further the mission of LCSAR,” said Janice Weixelman, president of Larimer County Search and Rescue. “These contributions have helped bring education and safety to Larimer County as well as neighboring counties and states who request our assistance.”
For more than 40 years, LCSAR has been locating and rescuing the lost, stranded, or injured and educating the public on wilderness and mountain safety as a free service. LCSAR is an independent non-profit corporation that relies heavily on donations and does not charge for its services.
