The Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County sold out the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse to about 170 attendees who were eager to see seven local stars represent various Clubs across Weld County through their rehearsed dances. The 2021 Weld County Stars were Melissa Rickman, Nick Kenny, George Gray, Kris Wagner, Cassandra Miller, Julius Luciano and Jacob Pottorff. Several local dance studios volunteered their time and skills to teach the stars how to dance. Each star leveraged their personal and professional connections for “votes” to win the 2nd annual Dancing with the Weld County Stars. The event raised over $40,000 between funds raised that night and the six-week campaign. Proceeds support children within the organization through five core programming areas of Arts, Education, Health & Wellness, Leadership & Service and Sports & Recreation.
