Horsetooth Int’l Film Festival (HIFFCO), entering its second season, is on track to take place September 10-13th in Northern Colorado – and now around the world – promising a virtual film festival experience at minimum in the wake of social distancing measures.
As the Northern Colorado community adapts to circumstances related to COVID-19, the HIFFCO Team is working hard to reorganize the dynamic networking atmosphere that festival goers loved in year one – and provide it, at least virtually, for filmmakers, musicians, artists, sponsors, partners and patrons in 2020.
In a statement from HIFFCO Co-Founder, John Hunt, said, “We believe it’s more critical than ever to adapt to current circumstances and provide that platform which offers opportunity for Filmmakers and Creatives alike, in addition to offering much-needed entertainment to the global community.”

“It is our hope to provide as many of the same benefits virtually that one could gain from attending the Festival Weekend in person. Through new technology, high-profile interviews, and potential collaborations with venues that have social-distancing built-in, we’re exploring unique networking opportunities to replace and perhaps even go beyond what was possible with our standard presentation,” adds Hunt.
Film Submission Deadlines and Updates
HIFFCO is maintaining the established deadlines for film submissions outlined on our website, and recently added a “Filmmakers’ Stimulus” discount code that can be applied to every entry. More details can be found on the HIFFCO website: hiffco.com. The code is valid from April 23rd – July 1st.
