The Loveland Downtown District is thrilled to launch their free, all-ages One Sweet Summer event series, beginning on Friday, May 31st. All events will be held at The Foundry, a new mixed-use development space featuring a central plaza with a stage area, grassy lawn and room for vendors.
Musical performances will abound with Friday Blues Concerts the last Friday of May, June and July from 6:30 – 9:30pm each night.
“These concerts will be an opportunity for visitors to hear some awesome Colorado blues bands in a unique outdoor setting.” said Sean Hawkins, Executive Director of the Loveland Downtown Partnership. “We’re excited to provide a fun location for enjoying live music while encouraging foot traffic to downtown businesses before and after events.”
Montrose native A.J. Fullerton will open the first blues concert on May 31st with a mixture of blues, rock, folk and Americana. Headliners will be an energetic 10-piece act called The Blues Dogs Band. Consisting of musicians from throughout northern Colorado, The Blues Dogs Band entertains with a style rooted in blues and influences of rock, funk and R&B – perfect for dancing!
The Friday Blues Concerts on June 28th will feature 50 Shades of Blue opening for ThreeShots, with Queen Bee and the Stingers warming up for Johnny & The Mongrelson July 26th.
Downtown food and beer vendors for the blues concert events will include Colorado Coffee Company, Origins Wine Bar & Wood Fired Pizza and Piggin’ Out Farmstead, with Crow Hop Brewing, Loveland Aleworks and Verboten Brewing pouring on a rotating schedule.
