Almost 700 guests and volunteers came in from the cold and enjoyed nearly 30 soup selections from some of the area’s best restaurants. Empty Bowls helped to raise $85,000 for hunger-relief programs in Larimer County. As is tradition, guests were able to choose from more than 1,000 bowls handmade by local artists and students. Empty Bowls’ founder and art teacher Mike McCarthy emceed the event that included touching speeches from local artist TS Berger and Food Bank volunteer Jan Touslee.
