Bas Bleu Theatre Presents The Waverly Gallery

The local non-profit, Bas Bleu Theatre presents Academy Award winner’s memory play and 2001 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, The Waverly Gallery by Kenneth Lonergan directed by Laura Jones. Bas Bleu’s founding Artistic Director, Wendy Ishii plays the lead as Gladys. February 2nd – 24th the talented cast of five will take the Tom Sutherland Stage at the Bas Bleu Theatre!

Gladys is the elderly matriarch of the Green family, who’s business faces threats of being replaced. The increasingly erratic Gladys starts to concern her family whose points of view this wacky and heartrending story of senility is told. The talented and dedicated cast masterfully present Lonergan’s complicated characters. “Wendy Ishii does an incredible job of acting through the simultaneous dialogue moments in the play,” says director, Laura Jones.

Jones taught and directed for 24 years in the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at CSU. She also served on the Advisory Board for Bas Bleu since 1993, and directed the inaugural productions.
