More than 100 participants ramped up their holiday spirit as they decorated gingerbread houses using candy, pretzels, marshmallows and more than 100 pounds of powdered sugar. The two-hour timed event had teams working quickly to decorate their gingerbread house masterpieces for judging in four categories. The Gingerbread Home for the Holidays event raised more than $10,000 to benefit 30 projects and leadership programs of the Eyeopeners Kiwanis Foundation and its mission to improve the lives of children and young adults in Northern Colorado.
