Black Valentine Event

Not everyone loves Valentine’s Day or its romantic notions, especially if you’ve ever experienced heartbreak. The city of Loveland offers some fun and community in the midst of what can sometimes be a difficult season at their Black Valentine free event on February 8th.

Attendees can share their own broken-hearted stories, get the chance to write and “release” your lost love on a floating black heart, and even “smash” your broken heart as you write your sentiments on a tile and then break the tile to release the pain.

If you don’t want to share your stories there is a great “Gas Light Love Bomb” exhibit by Scott Young. You can come with friend and family, relax sip on Dark Heart coffee or enjoy a drink while listening to slam poetry.
