Drop by the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program’s Holiday Open House on December 15  from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a face-to-face encounter with eagles, hawks and other birds of prey.

Located at 720 E. Vine Drive in Fort Collins, the RMRP rescues and rehabilitates close to 300 injured birds every year. It also conducts educational programming and raises awareness about human-wildlife conflicts.

Colorado’s growing population and the increasing urban-wilderness frontier has created more hazards for birds and a heavier workload for RMNP’s 10 full-time staffers and roughly 140 volunteers.

The Holiday Open House will feature migratory species that winter in Colorado. It’s entirely indoors, so don’t worry about the weather. Your attendance will support this vital nonprofit organization, which relies entirely on grants and donations. The gift shop will be open, with all proceeds supporting the injured birds in the RMRP’s care.
