Nearly 1,000 survivors, caregivers and supporters laced up their walking shoes to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society at this 12-hour dusk to dawn event. Cancer survivors, clad in purple T-shirts, kicked off the event as they took their survivor victory lap with teams and participants from Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and Windsor falling behind to start their walk. A sea of lit luminaria bags lined the track in memory of those who lost their battle to cancer and to celebrate those who have survived. Participants raised nearly $180,000 for the American Cancer Society for research, advocacy, education and patient services.
