Plein Air Festival and Auction

Forty Colorado artists participated in the 2021 Plein Air Festival and Auction, which is an event that is a part of the Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale. The day started with artists painting “en plein air” in downtown Loveland and at the River’s Edge Natural Area. The day culminated with entertainment by Grande Orquesta Navarre and a live art auction at Foundry Plaza, where nearly 500 people attended. Sponsored by Loveland Pulse, the Plein Air Festival raised more than $13,000, benefiting the Loveland and Thompson Rotary Clubs, presenters of the Governor’s Art Show and their charitable projects and causes. The Governor’s Art Show & Sale, one of the largest juried fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado artists, held its 30th anniversary show in 2021. This year, the work of 60 Colorado-based artists was featured at the in-person exhibit at the Loveland Museum.
