Locally-owned express car wash company, Breeze Thru Car Wash, recently partnered with JAX Mercantile Co. (JAX), a network of outdoor clothing and equipment shops, to facilitate a cleanup project for Northern Colorado’s Big Thompson River. The River Cleanup project took place on July 11 and was inspired by Breeze Thru’s ongoing sustainability and community-focused efforts.
“At Breeze Thru, we care deeply about the communities we call home and the preservation of each through sustainability as stewards of the environment on a local level and beyond,” said Wade Keith, Brand Manager at Breeze Thru. “We believe that for a community to continue to thrive it requires the efforts of all its members and we hope this initiative will motivate others to ‘Keep It Clean’ in more ways than one.”
In alignment with Breeze Thru’s core values of community impact and sustainability, local company and area partner, JAX, joined in to support the river cleanup project. More than 20 employee volunteers from both Breeze Thru and JAX participated in the cleanup, which started at Centennial Park and spanned multiple miles of outdoor riverside space.
For the safety of those participating and in compliance with social distancing, Breeze Thru and JAX invited the public to follow along with the event virtually on Facebook and came prepared with face coverings for all employee participants. Additionally, both companies set up display tents with informational takeaways for park-goers in Centennial’s expansive parking lot to ensure optimal safety of passersby interested in learning more.
Breeze Thru launched this project in stride with its continued water reclamation process used at each of its 11 locations across Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming, saving 50 million gallons of water annually. The company is the first-ever IMSM certified car wash holding an ISO 9001 Quality Management certification and is currently pursuing an ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification for its sustainability efforts, which include the use of ultra-concentrated, environmentally safe chemicals packaged in 100% recyclable containers and industry-leading technology that saves energy with every wash.
