April 1 @ 11:00 am - April 24 @ 5:00 pm
This is a time when people could greatly benefit from leaving a little “happy” on someone’s doorstep bringing a smile to a neighbor’s face.
A Little Help, its volunteers; including Berthoud High School students, are teaming up with The Rancher’s Wife to bring a little “Happy” to your neighbors by implementing an age-old tradition of May Day. May Day is a Springtime tradition, mostly in rural communities celebrating joyous renewal and good wishes for the coming year. The tradition is to anonymously leave a basket or bag of local or homemade goods on your neighbors’ doorstep with a note wishing them a prosperous and healthy year.
Gift bags filled with local goods can be purchased at The Ranchers Wife. 600 3rd St. in Berthoud Co at the bottom of the old historic grain elevator or online. You can leave your note and the address of your intended good will with your gift and we will deliver it. Gift bags start at $15.00 plus a 3.00 delivery donation for A Little Help organization, www.alittlehelp.org. If you do not have an intended neighbor or recipient; A Little Help has a list of over 40 in need recipients that would benefit greatly from a little joy and local goods. Local goods range from tea, coffee, raw honey, candy, pancake mix and flour, jams, soup bags, spices, soaps, lotions and more. These local goods purchase also benefit many local entrepreneurs working hard on their goods.
