The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission seeks speakers for the 2025 History Presentation Series. Speakers should prepare for 30-45 minutes of presentation time and audience questions. Topics can be about world, national and local history as well as historic preservation themes.

Presentations are typically held on Thursdays at noon at the Greeley History Museum. Days and times can be changed if needed.

“We’re excited to hear new ideas and voices from the community, including the University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College and local experts,” says Betsy Kellums, historic preservation specialist.

Past topics have included:

  • Historical modeling such as dioramas
  • Colorado State University’s Architectural Virtual Library
  • George Fisk
  • Performances by Young Chautauquans
  • Stories about Nathan Meeker

To join the 2025 History Presentation Series as a speaker or to share ideas for future topics, contact Betsy Kellums at 970.350.9222 or betsy.kellums@greeleygov.com.
