The League of Women Voters Larimer County hosted a joyful celebration on Women’s Equality Day at Sweet Heart Winery & Event Center in Loveland. The sold-out event drew more than 120 guests, who enjoyed keynote remarks from Dr. Marion Underwood, CSU provost and executive vice president, as well as catering by Fiona’s Delicatessen, Bakery & Catering. Three local women were honored for their work to advance equality: Joy Sullivan, CEO of United Way of Larimer County; Gretchen Haley, pastor at Foothills Unitarian Church; and Beth DeHaven of the League of Women Voters. All proceeds benefited the League of Women Voters Larimer County, the community’s nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to protect voting rights and ensure that everyone is represented in our democracy.
