Spring Open House at the RMRP: Come Meet Live Birds of Prey!

Everyone is invited to the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program’s free to the public Spring Open House on May 9, 2020 from 11am-3pm to be held at 720 E. Vine Drive in Fort Collins.
***PLEASE NOTE*** This event is subject to change or cancellation depending on current COVID-19 restrictions. Please visit our website at www.rmrp.org for current updates.

Executive Director Carin Avila says, “We love meeting new friends! If you haven’t been to one of our Open Houses, we hope you will join us for fun, learning, and meeting our Education Ambassador raptors!” The RMRP is only able to be open to the public a few days a year – use this chance to tour the facility to see how injured raptors are rescued and rehabilitated. Spring and summer are the busiest seasons for the RMRP, and baby raptors that need help have already started to arrive. There will be tons of learning opportunities, and don’t forget to support the raptors by picking something up at the gift shop! About: Since 1987, The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program has rescued and rehabilitated thousands of raptors, educated the public about human/wildlife conflicts, and conducted research to help raptors survive in the wild.

As an independent, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, RMRP is non-government, and is not state or federally funded. We do not receive regular operating support from any national or international humane organizations, but are supported mostly by recurring or one-time individual gifts, and some foundation and corporate support. Ten staff members and over 140 active volunteers carry out its work.
