Tournament officials announced that Miles Kuhl will receive an exemption to compete in the eighth playing of The Blue Championship, which will be held the week of July 6-12 at TPC Colorado.

“We are thrilled to welcome Miles into the field for this year’s Blue Championship,” says Laura Fellwock, tournament director. “We hope the Colorado golf community will come out and support Miles, who developed right down the road in Boulder and who has been so dominate on the Colorado junior golf circuit.”

Kuhl, 18, is a Boulder native and 2026 graduate of Fairview High School. The Blue Championship will mark Kuhl’s Korn Ferry Tour debut. The amateur has been a standout in Colorado junior and amateur golf, winning the 2023 Colorado PGA Junior Match Play, the 2023 Colorado PGA Junior Championship, the 2024 AJGA Colorado Junior, the 2025 The Wyndham Clark presented by the Colorado Golf Association and the 2025 CHSAA 5A State Championship.

Kuhl is committed to play at San Diego State University starting this fall. Recent alums of SDSU include 10-time PGA Tour winner (including two major championships) Xander Schauffele and three-time PGA Tour winner (including the 2025 U.S. Open) J.J. Spaun.

“I am incredibly grateful to Blue Federal Credit Union and The Blue Championship for this opportunity,” Kuhl says. “Growing up not far from TPC Colorado, I have looked up to the players that come through Colorado each year on the Korn Ferry Tour. As I start my journey from junior to collegiate golf, I am excited to represent my Colorado community while I test my game against the top players and make my Korn Ferry Tour debut.”

The Blue Championship will be one of the premier regular season events on the Korn Ferry Tour and will feature a purse of $1 million. The tournament field will include 156 players competing over 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut to the top 65 players and ties after 36 holes. Upon conclusion of the 25-event season, the top 20 players from the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA Tour membership for the 2027 season.

Past participants of The Blue Championship include reigning champion Neal Shipley and PGA Tour winners Austin Eckroat, Chris Gotterup, Ben Griffin, Aldrich Potgieter, Scottie Scheffler, Karl Vilips and Will Zalatoris, who won the 2020 event.
