Edison’s Ice Cream Expands to Downtown Greeley’s Historic Salzman Building

Edison’s Ice Cream, the vintage-inspired ice cream shop known for its premium, handcrafted flavors and nostalgic charm, is excited to announce its second Northern Colorado location, coming to downtown Greeley in spring 2026.

The new shop will open in the historic Salzman building at 911 8th Ave., a beloved downtown landmark that housed Salzman Shoes for 82 years before closing in 2017. Edison’s is currently working closely with the Greeley Historic Preservation Commission to thoughtfully renovate the space, ensuring the updated design honors the building’s legacy while bringing new life to this iconic address.

“Continuing Edison’s growth in another historic building feels incredibly meaningful,” says founder Nate Frary. “Just like our Fort Collins location, the Salzman building has a rich past and a special place in the community. We’re thrilled to help carry that history forward and create a space where people can make sweet new memories.”

The Greeley shop will feature Edison’s signature premium ice cream—including gluten-free, non-dairy and classic dairy ice cream offerings—along with rotating seasonal flavors and collaborations with local producers. Guests can expect the same warm, vintage-inspired atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Edison’s flagship location in Old Town Fort Collins.

More details about grand opening festivities, hours and other announcements will be shared closer to opening. For updates, visit edisonsicecream.com or follow along on Instagram @edisonsicecream.
