More than 350 guests gathered to celebrate The Matthews House’s 20 years of impact. The evening featured a silent auction, delicious food, heartfelt stories and live music from A Brother’s Fountain and The Matthews House band, Basement Kids. Attendees included founders, supporters, board members, staff and Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally. Mariana Ruiz and Kendra Schmetterling, two former participants turned staff, shared inspiring full-circle stories that earned standing ovations. Todd Gunderman was honored as Volunteer of the Year for his work with the Parent Cafe program. Funds raised at the event will support youth and families through wraparound services and The Landing, Northern Colorado’s first youth shelter.
