The Matthews House has used the Wild West Relay (WWR) as a summer fundraiser for the past 13 years. The WWR is a 200-mile relay race that typically takes place from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs. Each team is made up of 12 runners who each run three legs. This year, the event was virtual but still a huge success. The fundraiser had two teams run along the Poudre River Trail, and a third team ran along the North Trail in Loveland. The 36 runners ran an incredible amount, while managing to raise over $46,000 for The Matthews House.
