Dozens of families across Fort Collins took part in Be Kind FoCo Kindness Fest, an annual celebration of kindness in our community. Based on the belief that philanthropy begins with kindness, the project—normally a festival—took on a different format this year: a socially distanced Spread-the-Kindness Scavenger Hunt, starting and ending at Foothills. Kicking off with a pop-up food drive to benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County and a blood drive with the UCHealth Bloodmobile, the hunt took participants around Fort Collins showcasing the work of nonprofit organizations, opportunities for volunteerism and simple but impactful ways to pay it forward in our everyday lives through kindness. A signature project of Leadership Fort Collins, this year’s Be Kind FoCo was supported by OtterCares, Comcast Cares, UCHealth, Foothills, School of Rock, Card My Yard, CC’s Flower Truck and BluSky Restoration.
