Sip on Summer Spritz

The Aperol Spritz is a classic Italian cocktailthat is refreshing and bubbly, with enough bitter to be interesting and a toned-down sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm. It is easy to whip up and even easier to drink. And if that combination isn’t enough, it is bright and cheerful in a glass.

The cocktail serves up beautiful in a tall stemmed wine glass and is easy enough to mix by eyeballing the ingredients if you aren’t in the mood to pull out a shot glass.

You can enjoy the classic version of this cocktail on the newly finished patio at Ace Gillett’s in front of The Armstrong Hotel in Downtown Fort Collins. Warm summer days, people-watching and this refreshing cooler are the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Or try their Ruby So New, another Aperol drink featuring gin, elderflower, grapefruit cordial, lime and seltzer.

Classic or nouveau, Aperol makes a great summer sipper.
