Larimer County Natural Areas Remain Open, Boating Available April 1

Larimer County’s parks, open spaces, reservoirs, trails and campgrounds will continue operations during the mandatory Colorado State stay-at-home order, at least for now.

Boat ramps at both Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir will also be opening April 1. South Bay and Inlet Bay ramps at Horsetooth will both be open. South Bay is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days a week. Inlet Bay ramp is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Satanka ramp does not open until May.

Carter Lake’s North Pines ramp will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days a week. South Shore Ramp is closed for the season.

Larimer County does recommend these guidelines for using natural areas and open space: Please abide by the 6 ft. social distancing health guideline. Please keep groups to under 10 people. No congregating at overlooks or trailheads. Current campground spaces and cabin reservations have been cancelled and no further reservations can be made at this time. Webcams are available to help you find out how busy trails might be. If the parking is full, please move along to another location.
