With the new year, exciting changes are coming for an ever-growing number of area blues fans. To begin, the Fort Collins Blues Society will now be known as the High Plains Blues Society. Although the basic mission of the non-profit 501(c) organization remains the same, i.e., to promote and support blues music, membership will now extend to include both Wyoming and Nebraska residents. By offering membership beyond the immediate Northern Colorado region, the group hopes to keep the blues alive in neighboring communities further north and east of Fort Collins.
Currently, the High Plains Blues Society is busy at work promoting new membership and creating upcoming events for 2020. Keep posted for some great opportunities to attend blues shows this year!
