The Colorado Snow Sculpting Championship was held in conjunction with the Berthoud Snowfest where everyone was ready to play in the snow. The festival kicked off with the launch party on Wednesday where the community could meet the artists/ sculptors and their sponsors. After 4 days of becoming acquainted with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer, making s’mores in the park, enjoying an artisan market and the panel of judges debated who had the best decorated home or business in Berthoud, the snow sculpture artists were finally told to put down the tools. Eli Krawczuk-Cochrane and Giancarlo “GC” Martinez were the first-place team in the high school division from Summit High School. Ian Kunter, Corey Hosterman and Scy Caroselli were the first-place winners from Team Snow Mafia.
