Adorned in festive, creative and sometimes hideous sweaters and outfits, almost 500 participants ran or walked the 6th annual Sweaty Sweater 4-Mile race, presented by Raintree Athletic Club. After the race, many competed in the Ugly Sweater contest during the post-race party. The top three winners won new running attire sponsored by Runners Roost and Lululemon. This year there was a dog category for both top dog finishers and the Ugly Sweater contest, though most dogs were too cute to take the ugly sweater trophy. The main beneficiary was the Adopt-A-Family program that helps meet the tangible needs of local families at Christmas by providing food baskets or grocery store gift cards and gifts for the children. Additional beneficiaries of the event included the Poudre High School Cross Country Team, CSU Triathlon Team and the CSU Zero Waste Team.
